Eric counsels clients primarily
in patent related matters including patent
portfolio development, patent validity or
infringement opinions, and pre-litigation
patent investigations. Eric’s counseling
efforts include reducing the risk that new
or existing products infringe patents, responding
to patent infringement allegations, and maximizing
intellectual property valuations. Eric prepares
and prosecutes patent applications in many
diverse areas including semiconductors,
software, optics, mechanical systems, computer
systems and telecommunication systems.
Eric has been practicing patent law since 1992. While
he has considerable patent procurement and
opinion counseling experience, he also has
considerable patent litigation experience.
Through his patent litigation experience,
he has developed a deep understanding of
pragmatic strategies for maximizing patent
portfolio value and for reducing patent
infringement exposure. Eric is a founding
partner of Campbell Stephenson LLP. Prior to founding Campbell Stephenson
LLP, he was a partner with Skjerven
Morrill, LLP. While at Skjerven Morrill
LLP he focused primarily on patent related
matters.
